USGA'S GIRLS COMPETITIVE
Girls Level 1 and 2
The first level in the USGA gymnastics level structure is Level 1 (4 yrs old). USGA is the ONLY program in Eugene that offers a competitive team at Level 2 (5 yrs old). This is an invitation-only class and gymnasts work with all four different apparatus to build strength and skill for competitive routines.
Girls Level 3 – Level 5
USGA’s compulsory girls’ team meets three – four times per week (depending on level), for 3 hours/class. Classes focus on a series of skills which will allow your gymnast to perform compulsory routines for each apparatus. Your team gymnast will be entered into USAG competitions. There are two competitive seasons, fall and spring. Each season comprises of approximately 5 meets where gymnasts strive to qualify for the State Championships at the end of each season.
Girls Level 6 – Level 10
Our optional girls’ team trains with daily on all four apparatus with emphasis on detail, form, strength and individualized routines specific to each gymnast. The competitive season extends through spring, where gymnasts strive to qualify for the Oregon State Championship meet. Level 8, 9 and 10 gymnasts can qualify for the Regional Competition, and Level 9 and 10 gymnasts can qualify at Regionals for the National Championships.
